Powell Industries posted Q3 fiscal 2026 net income of $52.2 million, up 8%, with diluted EPS of $1.42, up 8%.
Revenue rose 9% to $312 million, while gross profit climbed 8% to $95.3 million and gross margin slipped 0.1 percentage point to 30.6%.
Orders and backlog growth
New orders more than doubled to $934 million, up 158%, driving a book-to-bill ratio of 3.0x and backlog up 69% to $2.4 billion.
Quarter awards included three mega orders: a data center contract exceeding $400 million, an LNG order near $60 million, and a petrochemical order about $75 million.
Outlook and project update
Management expects gross margins to stay consistent with the trailing 12 months, with the Jacintoport yard expansion set to finish by fiscal 2026 year-end.
