Power Integrations partners with Ideal Power on solid-state circuit breakers for 800 VDC AI data centers
POWI•Power Integrations and Ideal Power are developing solid-state circuit breakers for 800 VDC AI data centers, pairing Power Integrations’ 1,700 V InnoMux-2 power conversion ICs with Ideal Power’s B-TRAN bidirectional power switch. They have demonstrated a working prototype and are developing a reference design.
1. Prototype demonstrated
The companies aim to deliver a self-powered, intelligent, ultra-fast breaker that converts 800 V into isolated power for controls. A working prototype has been demonstrated, and a reference design is in development.
