1. Contract details
PowerCompute signed a new power contract with Columbus Light and Water on Sept. 30, 2026, raising contracted demand at its Columbus site to 11 MW. The contract took effect Oct. 1 and places the site on the Large Data Service tariff adopted under TVA’s new data center rate.
2. Tariff and deposit
The brief says load under contract before Oct. 1 avoided TVA’s Capacity Commitment Rider, while new or expanded data center demand above 5 MW carries a charge of about $1.5 million per MW. Columbus Light and Water will return PowerCompute’s $300,000 deposit, which the company will replace with a utility bond. The agreement runs through Sept. 16, 2030, and the utility required no capital contribution for the added contracted power.
