PPG showcased its Low Temperature Cure automotive coating technology at SURCAR Asia 2026 in Shanghai on Sept. 16-17.

• The technology targets integrated paint processes across metal bodies and plastic parts, aiming to streamline operations and improve color consistency.
• It offers two cure options: basecoat curing at 110°C and a three-layer system curing at 90°C, positioned as an alternative to 140°C processes.
• PPG plans line trials with major automakers worldwide to support progression toward broader commercial rollout.
