SU•Suncor Energy reportedly agreed to sell interests in three offshore oil projects for up to $1.55 billion; Rogers Communications reportedly completed its $4.35 billion acquisition of the remaining stake in Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment.
1. Suncor asset sale
Suncor Energy reportedly agreed to sell its interests in the Terra Nova, White Rose and West White Rose offshore oil projects to Ithaca Energy in a deal worth up to $1.55 billion.
2. Rogers acquisition
Rogers Communications reportedly completed its $4.35 billion acquisition of the final stake in Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment. MLSE chief executive Keith Pelley was given responsibility for Rogers’ media division.
3. Search halted
The U.S. Coast Guard halted its search for six people aboard a medical transport aircraft that crashed off Nantucket Island. The people included four Canadian crew members and two passengers from Bermuda.
