- Aston Martin AML.L has struck a deal to borrow £550 million ($735.96 million) from BlackRock-owned BLK.N private credit firm HPS, defying opposition from a group of existing lenders who branded the transaction “extraordinary”.
- Britain’s new defence minister Wes Streeting has refused to commit the UK to increasing military spending to 3% of national income by 2030 but said he did not want the sector to operate on the cheap.
- Private equity group Platinum Equity is nearing a deal to acquire a stake in Nestle's NESN.S European water business that would value the company at close to €5 billion ($5.71 billion).
