Primoris Services Corp.'s Renewables group has secured a $600 million EPC contract for Arevon's expanded 250-MW/1,000-MWh Cormorant Energy Storage Project in Daly City, set to enter commercial operation next year. The project is expected to employ 175 workers at peak and use LFP battery technology.

1. EPC Contract Award

Primoris Services Corp.’s Renewables group has been appointed engineering, procurement and construction contractor for Arevon’s Cormorant Energy Storage Project in Daly City, California. The $600 million scope covers a 250-MW/1,000-MWh lithium iron phosphate battery installation expanded from an original 188 MW/752 MWh capacity, with commercial operation slated for next year.

2. Strategic and Financial Implications

The project is expected to employ about 175 workers at peak and bolster Primoris’s renewable infrastructure backlog, enhancing its revenue visibility for upcoming quarters.
