Propanc Biopharma reports PRP reduces pancreatic cancer cell growth in preclinical study
PPCB•Propanc Biopharma reported that PRP reduced pancreatic cancer cell growth and invasiveness, including in chemotherapy-resistant cells. Combining PRP with galunisertib enhanced selected effects but also reduced the treatment’s apparent selectivity.
1. Preclinical findings
Propanc Biopharma reported that PRP reduced pancreatic cancer cell growth and invasiveness, including in chemotherapy-resistant cells. PRP alone showed greater selectivity for cancer-associated fibroblasts, while combining it with galunisertib increased suppression of normal-associated fibroblasts and reduced apparent selectivity.
2. Further investigation
An Australian patent application covers the combination approach. The company plans further validation in more complex models.
