Propanc Biopharma says PRP cuts pancreatic tumor growth by over 90% in preclinical models

Propanc Biopharma said new preclinical data for PRP in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma showed more than 90% mean tumor growth inhibition versus vehicle controls, with p<0.001.
The company said animal studies also showed median overall survival extended by more than 2.5-fold versus controls.

Propanc said the results also indicated reduced metastatic burden, tumor microenvironment remodeling, and improved sensitivity to gemcitabine/nab-paclitaxel in chemo-resistant cells.
PRP is a fixed-ratio combination of trypsinogen and chymotrypsinogen with a non-cytotoxic, differentiation-based mechanism, and it holds FDA Orphan Drug Designation in pancreatic cancer.
The company said development focus has shifted to advancing PRP into a planned Phase 1b first-in-human study in 40-45 advanced solid-tumor patients, with pancreatic cancer a key indication.
