Propanc Biopharma Sets PRP Phase 1b Trial, Expands Cell Rejuvenation Collaboration

Propanc Biopharma CEO James Nathanielsz attended the “Rejuvenation and Health: Science for an Ageing Society” keynote at the University of Granada’s historic Hospital Real, where regenerative biology pioneer Dr. Juan Carlos Izpisúa outlined key cellular and molecular aging mechanisms. The appearance underscores Propanc’s commitment to leading-edge ageing and regenerative medicine research.
2. Expanding Collaboration on Cell Rejuvenation
Following the keynote, Propanc reaffirmed its joint research programs with the universities of Granada and Jaén focused on proenzyme-driven differentiation of target cells. These collaborations aim to advance cell rejuvenation approaches for conditions such as fibrosis, diabetes and solid tumor cancers by leveraging emerging insights into tissue regeneration.
3. PRP Phase 1b Trial on Track
Propanc’s lead product candidate, PRP, is scheduled to enter a Phase 1b First-in-Human study in advanced cancer patients later this year. This milestone initiation could validate the company’s strategy of targeting and eradicating cancer stem cells to prevent recurrence and metastasis, potentially unlocking clinical benefits across multiple chronic diseases.
