Propanc's PRP increases chemotherapy sensitivity in pancreatic cancer cells in preclinical study
PPCB•Propanc Biopharma reported that PRP pretreatment increased chemotherapy responsiveness in resistant pancreatic cancer cells. PRP alone reduced proliferation by 54% and invasive capacity by 47%; a Phase 1b trial is planned for Q1 2027, but patient benefit remains unproven.
1. Preclinical findings
Propanc Biopharma reported that sequential PRP treatment followed by chemotherapy produced the strongest functional response in chemotherapy-resistant pancreatic cancer cells. PRP alone reduced cell proliferation by 54% and invasive capacity by 47%; combined with a TGF-β inhibitor, it achieved 80% invasion inhibition. A Phase 1b first-in-human trial in advanced solid tumors is planned for Q1 2027.
