Proposed Air Canada route deal with United Airlines to weigh on competition, watchdog says
UAL•Canada’s Competition Bureau said a proposed Air Canada-United Airlines arrangement would likely harm competition on 10 routes between the United States and Canada.

The bureau said the airlines’ proposed expanded coordination, including on pricing, on 10 routes would create or reinforce monopoly or near-monopoly conditions. Its report will inform a Canadian government public interest review of the proposed arrangement.
