1. Financial Results for Quarter Ended December 31, 2025

Prospect Capital generated net investment income of $90.9 million, up from $79.4 million in the prior quarter, and net investment income per share rose to $0.19. The company incurred a net loss applicable to common shareholders of $6.6 million, or $(0.01) per share, compared to net income of $48.1 million ($0.10 per share) in the previous period.

2. Distribution Declaration

The board approved monthly cash distributions of $0.045 per common share for February, March and April 2026, equal to a quarterly payout of $0.135 per share. Including these, cumulative distributions will reach $21.93 per share, aggregating approximately $4.7 billion since inception.

3. Balance Sheet and NAV Position

Total assets stood at $6.534 billion with liabilities of $1.952 billion, and balance sheet cash plus undrawn commitments totaled $1.647 billion. Net asset value to common shareholders was $2.959 billion, or $6.21 per share, down from $6.45 per share at September 30, 2025.

4. Portfolio Track Record

Since its July 2004 IPO through December 31, 2025, Prospect has invested over $22 billion across more than 450 investments, exiting over 350 with a 14.5% gross IRR on exited middle-market loans and a 17.2% IRR on core sub-$50 million EBITDA portfolio companies.
