TARA•
TARA•Protara Therapeutics reported a third-quarter net loss of $21.69 million, or $0.35 per share, as operating expenses rose to $23.15 million. It ended the quarter with $143 million in cash and expects its funding to last into 2028.
Protara Therapeutics’ third-quarter net loss widened year over year as operating expenses increased. Higher research and development costs, including costs tied to clinical trials, personnel and TARA-002 manufacturing, and higher administrative expenses contributed to the increase.
The company ended the quarter with $143 million in cash and expects funding to last into 2028. It expects to complete enrollment in the ADVANCED-2 BCG-Unresponsive cohort in the fourth quarter of 2026 and in the STARBORN-1 trial in early 2027.
Protara expects to begin a rolling biologics license application submission for TARA-002 in lymphatic malformations in the second half of 2027. It said acquiring TARA-002 manufacturing assets increased costs as it prepares for potential commercialization.
