PFS•A 2026 Provident Financial Services survey found 70% of Americans concerned about college costs, while 71.3% said they changed education plans.

The survey found that 30.4% see trade or technical school as offering the best financial return, and 65% said student-debt fears boost its appeal. It also found that 19.4% were unsure how much student-loan debt they expected and that 51.4% wanted education-saving guidance from banks.
