Texas unit created to support U.S. ibogaine program
Psyence BioMed formed Texas Ibogaine Research Corporation as a new Texas-based unit to run its U.S. ibogaine development.
The entity is intended to centralize pharmaceutical-grade supply, manufacturing planning, regulatory engagement and potential clinical development within one U.S. vehicle.
TIRC is positioned to hold U.S. rights to PsyLabs’ pharmaceutical-grade ibogaine, subject to definitive licensing agreements.
Jody Aufrichtig will lead TIRC as CEO, and Dr. John Thorne was appointed project lead.
Next steps include finalizing licensing, advancing regulatory work, and preparing manufacturing and clinical plans for a potential U.S. program.
