PTC Rolls Out Codebeamer 3.2, AI 1.0 and Pure Variants 7.2 While Onshape Government Powers Reditus Space ENOS Mk1 Development
PTC’s Onshape Government platform will support Reditus Space’s development of the ENOS Mk1 reusable orbital capsule set to launch July 2026, enabling ITAR-compliant collaboration and rapid iteration. PTC also released ALM portfolio upgrades—Codebeamer 3.2, AI 1.0 and Pure Variants 7.2—to enhance traceability, change control and governed AI.
1. Onshape Selected by Reditus Space to Accelerate Reusable Capsule Development
PTC announced that Reditus Space has transitioned from the Onshape Startup Program to Onshape Government in order to support ITAR-compliant collaboration and scale development of its reusable orbital reentry capsule. Using the cloud-native Onshape CAD and PDM platform, Reditus progressed from initial concept to flight-ready design in under six months, and is on schedule to launch ENOS Mk1 aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rideshare in July 2026. The mission will deploy a reusable spacecraft into low-Earth orbit for approximately eight weeks before controlled reentry and recovery. By adopting Onshape Government, Reditus ensures end-to-end encryption, version control across distributed teams, and EAR and ITAR regulatory compliance without added IT overhead, accelerating iteration cycles by 30% compared with legacy on-premise solutions.
2. PTC Enhances ALM Portfolio with Codebeamer 3.2, AI 1.0 and Pure Variants 7.2
PTC has upgraded its application lifecycle management suite with Codebeamer 3.2, AI 1.0 and Pure Variants 7.2 to strengthen traceability, change control and governable AI capabilities. Codebeamer 3.2 introduces automated impact analysis dashboards that reduce compliance audit time by up to 40%, while AI 1.0 embeds machine-learning recommendations for requirements linking and defect classification, improving defect resolution speed by 25%. Pure Variants 7.2 adds rule-based variant modeling and real-time configuration previews, enabling engineering teams to manage product line complexity across hundreds of variants with a 50% reduction in manual configuration errors. These enhancements support PTC’s vision for the Intelligent Product Lifecycle by unifying design, development and data governance in regulated industries such as automotive, medical devices and aerospace.
