Qualcomm gains on partnerships for high-speed 5G module, AI-powered Wi-Fi gateway
QCOM•Qualcomm is partnering with Fibocom on a 5G module with download speeds of up to 2.5 Gbps and with Gemtek Technology and gFiber on an AI-powered home internet gateway. Mass production of the module is planned for the fourth quarter of 2026, while gateway deployment is targeted for 2027.

Qualcomm powers Fibocom’s SC153 5G module for smart devices and industrial equipment, which supports download speeds of up to 2.5 Gbps. Mass production is planned for the fourth quarter of 2026. Qualcomm is also working with Gemtek Technology and gFiber on an AI-powered home internet gateway, with commercial deployment targeted for 2027 and gFiber as the first service provider.
