Quest Diagnostics launched Quest AI Companion, an AI-powered chat feature integrated into MyQuest that analyzes up to five years of personal lab data to explain results and uncover health risk trends. Powered by Google’s Gemini models, it provides personalized explanations, terminology definitions and question-building tools within a HIPAA-compliant platform.

Quest AI Companion is now available to adult MyQuest users as a chat-based tool that interprets up to five years of Quest lab results. It offers immediate, personalized explanations of values—such as high, low or within range—and highlights patterns or potential health risks for users to discuss with providers.
2. HIPAA-Compliant Data Security
Operating entirely within the secure MyQuest platform, the AI Companion eliminates the need for manual result uploads to public tools, preserving patient privacy. Users benefit from definitions of medical terminology and support in formulating questions for their healthcare providers without exposing sensitive data.
3. Strategic Collaboration with Google Cloud
The feature is powered by the Google Cloud Gemini family of models, building on a collaboration launched in March 2025. Quest and Google Cloud plan ongoing innovation to enhance diagnostic insights and streamline data management for both patients and providers.
