Questcorp Targets Five Priority Zones in Phase 2 La Union Program After 42m at 0.3 g/t
Questcorp Mining has launched a Phase 2 exploration program at its La Union Project in Sonora, Mexico, following a discovery of 42 metres grading 0.3 g/t gold at Luis Hill. The company is targeting five high-priority areas and is expanding drone magnetic surveys to refine targets and assess porphyry potential.
1. Phase 2 Exploration Launch
Questcorp Mining has advanced to Phase 2 at its La Union Project after initial trench results at Luis Hill returned 42 metres at 0.3 g/t gold. The program aims to rapidly refine drill targets across a district-scale system with both sediment-hosted gold and carbonate replacement mineralization potential.
2. Focused High-Priority Targets
The new program concentrates on five areas: expanding the Luis Hill gold discovery, extending high-grade zones at Union Mine (previously 30 m at 20 g/t gold and 226 g/t silver), defining first drill targets at Famosa North, developing CRD targets at Union North, and exploring multi-target potential at Esperanza.
3. Enhanced Geophysical Surveys
An expanded drone magnetic survey is underway to build on Phase 1 data, identifying intrusive bodies as possible heat engines and fluid sources. These surveys will support structural interpretation and porphyry-style system assessment ahead of upcoming drill campaigns.
