Rackspace Technology names Chetan Gupta chief AI officer

Rackspace Technology named Chetan Gupta as chief AI officer to lead its AI strategy, research, governance, innovation, and customer adoption.

Gupta previously led global AI research at Hitachi, including roles running its Advanced AI Center in Japan and Industrial AI Lab in North America.

He also spent seven years at HP Labs, focusing on deploying AI solutions across industrial and logistics use cases.

The appointment targets scaling enterprise and sovereign AI deployments in high-stakes, mission-critical operating environments.
