RadNet unit DeepHealth says AI could help avoid 18.9% of prostate biopsies in study
RDNT•DeepHealth said its Prostate MR Solution AI could have avoided 149 biopsies, or 18.9%, while a study protocol maintained 98.4% sensitivity for clinically significant prostate cancer in 787 men.
1. Study findings
The analysis covered retrospective prostate MRI exams from 2014 to 2025 across Germany, the Netherlands and the United States. DeepHealth said the findings support using AI to assist biopsy decisions when MRI assessments are uncertain.
