Ralph Lauren Unveils Timeless by Design 2030 with 99% Sustainable Materials Goal
Ralph Lauren’s Timeless by Design 2030 strategy sets five-year supply chain targets to reduce carbon emissions and water use under its Partner for Impact pillar. The plan also includes Cotton Stewardship for regenerative cotton, a 99% sustainable material threshold, Only at RL employee development programmes and annual progress reporting.
1. Strategy Framework
Timeless by Design 2030 establishes a five-year roadmap around four pillars: Partner for Impact, Protect Natural Resources, Engage & Enable Teams and Care for Communities. Annual reporting will measure progress in emissions, water use, sustainable materials, employee engagement and community impact.
2. Partner for Impact Pillar
Under Partner for Impact, Ralph Lauren will reduce carbon emissions and water use across its supply chain and launch Design with Intent to embed culturally sustainable design in products and storytelling. The pillar also expands worker empowerment and life skills programmes with manufacturing partners.
3. Natural Resources and Cotton Stewardship
The Protect Natural Resources pillar focuses on circular product design and material innovation, with Cotton Stewardship as its flagship initiative to advance regenerative and recycled cotton. This programme aims to lower environmental impacts and support sustainable fiber sourcing globally.
4. Employee and Community Initiatives
Engage & Enable Teams introduces the Only at RL programme to drive employee development and inclusive culture, while Care for Communities continues staff volunteering and the Pink Pony anti-cancer efforts. These initiatives reinforce workforce resilience and community support.
