Phase 1a data for oral RT-114
Rani Therapeutics reported positive initial Phase 1a data for RT-114, an oral RaniPill capsule delivering PG-102 for obesity.
- Oral RT-114 produced systemic exposure above 150% versus a matched 12 mg subcutaneous PG-102 dose in healthy volunteers.
- No serious adverse events were reported; no adverse events were attributed to the capsule; treatment-related events were mild and consistent with the GLP-1 class.
- Phase 1a was expanded with 15 volunteers receiving two 12 mg oral doses to refine oral-to-subcutaneous pharmacokinetics ahead of Phase 1b.
