Rapid7 names J. Benjamin Nye lead independent director after board reshuffle

Rapid7 said it reshaped its board following the resignations of Michael Burns, Benjamin Holzman, Thomas Schodorf and Reeny Sondhi, effective Aug. 27, 2026.

The board elected Maria Barrett, owner of Barrett Cyber Solutions and a retired U.S. Army lieutenant general who led Army Cyber Command, effective Sept. 1, 2026.

Julian Waits, Rapid7’s chief experience officer since September 2025, was also elected to the board effective Sept. 1, 2026.

J. Benjamin Nye was named lead independent director effective Aug. 27, 2026.

The committee refresh effective Sept. 1, 2026 adds Barrett to the Audit and Nominating committees, while Waits will not join any committees.
