REalloys Invests $20.6M to Boost NdPr 25% and Double Dy/Tb Capacity
ALOY•REalloys committed $20.6 million to upgrade SRC’s facility, boosting NdPr output 25% and doubling Dy/Tb to 525 t NdPr, 30 t Dy and 15 t Tb with exclusive rights to 80% capacity. After raising $50 million in March, the company is on track for early-2027 commissioning of its Western-sourced heavy rare earth metallization plant.
1. Investment and Processing Capacity Upgrades
In December 2025, REalloys committed $20.6 million to targeted equipment, engineering and commissioning upgrades at SRC’s Saskatoon facility. These upgrades are designed to increase NdPr metal output by 25% and double Dy and Tb oxide production, raising annual capacity to 525 tonnes of NdPr, 30 tonnes of Dy and 15 tonnes of Tb.
2. Exclusive Supply Rights and Production Targets
Under the commercial agreement, REalloys holds exclusive rights to 80% of the expanded rare earth output at SRC’s processing facility. Staged commissioning is already underway, keeping the initial commercial production schedule on track for early 2027 ahead of U.S. defense procurement restrictions on non-Western materials.
3. Heavy Rare Earth Metallization Progress and Financing
REalloys financed its scale-up with a $50 million underwritten offering in March 2026 and has initiated engineering for a standalone heavy rare earth metallization facility in Euclid, Ohio. Major equipment procurement is proceeding with Western and allied-nation suppliers, aiming to begin Dy and Tb metallization by Q4 2027 to serve U.S. defense and advanced manufacturing supply chains.
