REalloys to Receive MREC and Scandium from Ramaco Under Non-Binding MOU
ALOY•REalloys has entered a non-binding MOU with Ramaco Resources to secure Mixed Rare Earth Carbonate from Ramaco’s Wyoming project and scandium oxide from its Brook Mine refinery for separation and metallization at REalloys’ SRC and Ohio facilities. The agreement aims to strengthen REalloys’ domestic rare earth processing capabilities.
1. Non-Binding MOU Overview
REalloys and Ramaco Resources have signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding to evaluate an offtake agreement. The MOU outlines due diligence steps and initial supply commitments without binding purchase obligations.
2. Mixed Rare Earth Carbonate Supply
Under the MOU, Ramaco will supply Mixed Rare Earth Carbonate sourced from its exploratory critical minerals project in Wyoming. REalloys will receive tailored feedstock volumes to feed its separation processes at the Saskatchewan Research Council facility.
3. Scandium Oxide Provision
Ramaco will also supply separated scandium oxide produced at its Brook Mine critical mineral refinery. REalloys plans to use this scandium oxide for alloy metallization at its Euclid, Ohio facility, expanding its metallization capacity.
4. Strategic Domestic Supply Chain Impact
This partnership is designed to bolster a U.S. rare earth and permanent magnet supply chain by integrating upstream carbonate production with downstream separation and metallization. Successful execution could position REalloys as a key domestic processor of critical minerals.
