Reditus Space Picks PTC’s Onshape for July 2026 Reentry Capsule; ALM Suite Upgrades Unveiled

PTCPTC

Reditus Space selected PTC’s Onshape platform for development of its reusable ENOS Mk1 reentry capsule launching July 2026 with ITAR-compliant Onshape Government support. PTC upgraded its ALM portfolio with Codebeamer 3.2, AI 1.0 and Pure Variants 7.2 to strengthen traceability and change control.

1. Onshape Adoption by Reditus Space Fuels Rapid Spacecraft Development

PTC today announced that Reditus Space has transitioned from the Onshape Startup Program to Onshape Government to accelerate delivery of its ENOS Mk1 orbital reentry capsule, slated for a July 2026 launch aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rideshare. Reditus Space reported that since adopting the cloud-native Onshape CAD and PDM platform in early 2024, design cycle times have fallen by 40 percent, enabling full flight-ready hardware designs in under 18 months. The shift to Onshape Government ensures full compliance with ITAR and EAR regulations while preserving collaborative agility across engineering teams distributed between Atlanta, GA and PTC’s Boston headquarters. ENOS Mk1 is projected to deploy commercial payloads into low Earth orbit for an eight-week mission before automated recovery and reuse, setting a new industry benchmark for sustainable microsatellite operations.

2. PTC Strengthens ALM Suite with Codebeamer and Pure Variants Upgrades

In its January 2026 release, PTC rolled out Codebeamer 3.2 and Pure Variants 7.2 within its application lifecycle management (ALM) portfolio, alongside the debut of AI 1.0 capabilities. Codebeamer 3.2 introduces end-to-end requirements traceability with built-in impact analysis, reducing compliance audit preparation by up to 50 percent. Pure Variants 7.2 expands multi-model configuration management, supporting complex variant trees with up to 10,000 unique configurations per project. The AI 1.0 module integrates governed machine-learning workflows to automate change-request prioritization, cutting manual triage time by 60 percent. Together, these enhancements enable regulated industries—such as automotive and defense—to enforce tighter change-control policies and accelerate software delivery, reinforcing PTC’s strategic position in the ALM market.
