Regenxbio climbs as new director buys nearly $1 million of stock
RGNX•FDA clinical hold had pressured the stock
On Monday, Regenxbio said the FDA had placed its experimental Hunter syndrome gene therapy on clinical hold, sending its shares down nearly 25%.
As of the last close, the stock was down 34.9% year to date.
Shares rise after director purchase and board appointment
Shares of drug developer Regenxbio rose 9.4% to $10.25 in premarket trading.
Regenxbio on Tuesday appointed Gregory Ciongoli to its board of directors as two long-serving directors retired.
Ciongoli received an initial equity award of 15,432 restricted stock units and stock options to buy 69,609 shares.
Ciongoli bought 102,603 RGNX shares over two days at weighted-average prices of $9.14 and $9.36, worth about $952,001.59 in total, filings made public late on Thursday showed.
These acquisitions increase his total holding in the company to 118,035 shares.
