Rekor’s Scout Axis Agent Brings Cryptographic Video Signing to Axis Cameras
REKR•Rekor Systems launched the Rekor Scout Axis Agent with Go-Secure.Video, enabling cryptographic signing on ARTPEC-8 and ARTPEC-9 Axis cameras and integrating cloud-based ALPR and vehicle recognition. The software supports solar and cellular deployments, reduces hardware lock-in, and provides tamper-evident video for public safety and commercial users.
1. Product Launch
Rekor Systems has introduced the Rekor Scout Axis Agent incorporating Go-Secure.Video, transforming compatible Axis cameras into intelligent sensors with built-in tamper-evident video. The software-based agent runs directly on ARTPEC-8 and ARTPEC-9 camera processors, eliminating the need for proprietary hardware or standalone ALPR appliances.
2. Core Features
The agent integrates Rekor Scout’s cloud-based ALPR and vehicle recognition engine, providing license plate recognition, make, model, color, year, hotlist matching, alerts, and case tools. Go-Secure.Video signs video at capture via cryptographic methods, ensuring any post-capture alterations are detectable and maintaining a strong chain of custody.
3. Deployment Benefits
By supporting solar and cellular deployments with an outbound-only security posture, the solution enables installations in locations lacking power or network access. It reduces deployment friction by allowing customers to use existing Axis camera platforms, lowering hardware lock-in and costs for public safety, transportation, education, and commercial clients.
