The project received $5.1 million from CalRecycle’s Organics Grant Program for construction, equipment and administrative costs. Republic Services said its California organics network has 17 facilities, which processed 884,000 tons of food and yard waste in 2025. The company plans to open San Bernardino Sustainability Park later this year, with annual capacity of 300,000 tons and room to double.
