Rhythm Pharmaceuticals launched IMCIVREE in Japan following its listing on the National Health Insurance drug price list. The market entry follows clearance from Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare in August and was supported by Phase 3 TRANSCEND data showing an 18.8% placebo-adjusted BMI reduction. Rhythm estimates 5,000 to 8,000 people in Japan live with acquired hypothalamic obesity.
