Rigetti makes leadership changes to support systems deployment scale-up
Rigetti created a chief operating officer role, forming a Systems Delivery organization to scale on-premises quantum system deployments.
David Rivas was named COO from CTO; he joined in 2019 as SVP Systems and Services, previously held executive roles at Sun and Nokia.
Andrew Bestwick was appointed CTO from SVP, Quantum Systems; he joined in 2015, led Cepheus-class architecture, and previously worked at Bain.
Processor architecture, chip development, and hardware engineering shift under the CTO; Systems Delivery consolidates manufacturing operations and customer-facing engineering.
