Rigetti Q2 revenue rises on quantum computing deployments
RGTI•Q2 revenue rises on deployments
Rigetti said Q2 revenue rose, but slightly missed analyst expectations, as demand for on-premises quantum computing systems from government, academic and commercial customers supported growth.
The company posted a Q2 operating loss of $28.1 million.
Outlook and technology milestones
Rigetti said it targets systems with around 1,000 qubits and 99.9% two-qubit gate fidelity in three years.
The company said demand for on-premises quantum systems remains strong across government and research sectors. It also expects potential $100 million U.S. government funding to accelerate superconducting quantum R&D.
Rigetti highlighted progress on gate fidelity, coherence and chiplet-based scaling as key technology milestones.
Collaborations, cash position and analyst view
Rigetti cited expanded collaboration with HPE and the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center as supporting demand for hybrid quantum-classical systems.
The company said it has a strong cash position with no debt.
