Rio Tinto partners with RevoCast to expand low-carbon aluminium billet supply in North America
RIO•Rio Tinto struck a long-term deal with RevoCast to expand low-carbon aluminium billet supply for North American extrusion customers. Rio Tinto will exclusively market billet from RevoCast’s Langley plant, which targets annual capacity above 80,000 tonnes.
1. Long-term supply deal
Rio Tinto will exclusively market billet from RevoCast’s newly commissioned casting facility in Langley, British Columbia. The billet will blend Rio Tinto’s hydropower-based primary aluminium from Kitimat with recycled aluminium processed by RevoCast; the plant, commissioned in August 2026, targets annual capacity above 80,000 tonnes of 6xxx-series billet.
