Rio Tinto said Simandou’s SimFer mine build and port infrastructure are more than 75% complete, with full rail commissioning achieved in Q1 2026.

Lithium delivered first production ahead of plan at Sal de Vida and Fénix 1B, supporting a 20% year-on-year rise in Q2 LCE output.
