Rivian deliveries hit record high as R2 rollout gains momentum
RIVN•Rivian delivered a record 19,248 vehicles in the third quarter, beating analysts’ average estimate of 18,001, and reaffirmed its 2026 forecast of 65,000 to 70,000 deliveries.
1. Record deliveries
Rivian delivered 19,248 vehicles in the quarter ended September 30, above analysts’ average estimate of 18,001. It produced 19,751 vehicles at its Normal, Illinois, facility.
2. Forecast reaffirmed
The company reaffirmed its 2026 delivery forecast of 65,000 to 70,000 vehicles, saying quarterly production and deliveries were in line with its expectations. Analysts on average estimate Rivian will deliver 66,685 vehicles in 2026.
3. R2 and Uber partnership
Deliveries of Rivian’s R2 SUV began in June. In March, Uber agreed to invest up to $1.25 billion in Rivian and begin deploying fully autonomous R2 SUVs as robotaxis from 2028. Rivian is scheduled to report third-quarter financial results on October 29.
