Roblox reported Q4 bookings of $2.2B, up 63% year-over-year, with revenue rising 43% to $1.4B and average daily active users reaching 144M (up 69%). Executives noted users aged 18+ grew over 50% and monetize 40% higher, DevEx fees rose 70% to $477M, and safety lawsuits consolidated into a federal MDL.

1. Breakout Q4 Performance Demonstrates Strong Growth

Roblox reported fourth-quarter 2025 bookings of $2.2 billion, a 63 percent year-over-year increase that exceeded consensus estimates, while revenue grew 43 percent to $1.4 billion. Average daily active users climbed 69 percent to 144 million, and hours engaged reached 35 billion, up 88 percent. International markets drove much of this expansion, with DAUs outside North America rising nearly 80 percent. Management highlighted that users aged 18 and older are growing over 50 percent faster and monetize 40 percent more than younger cohorts, underscoring the platform’s maturing demographic profile and emerging operating leverage.

2. Creator Economy and Flywheel Accelerating Engagement

Roblox’s so-called flywheel strategy—where user growth fuels creator earnings, which in turn enhances content and drives deeper engagement—continued to gain momentum. Developer exchange (DevEx) payouts reached $477 million in Q4, up 70 percent year-over-year, reflecting both platform expansion and an 8.5 percent DevEx rate increase announced in September. The top 1,000 creators earned an average of $1.3 million in 2025, more than 50 percent above the prior year. Management views higher creator earnings as a high-return investment, and noted that adding approximately 60 million DAUs in 2025 has reinforced this virtuous cycle.

3. AI Investment and Safety Reforms Shape Future Content

Roblox has deployed over 400 AI models across creation, discovery, safety and social interaction, leveraging data from billions of hours of 3D interactions and voice communications. Tools like Roblox Assistant and Avatar Auto-Setup are reducing development timelines and lowering the barrier to sophisticated game creation, positioning the platform to compete in genres traditionally dominated by consoles and PCs. Concurrently, an MDL consolidating dozens of lawsuits over alleged failures to protect minors was formed in December in the Northern District of California. In response, Roblox accelerated rollout of mandatory age checks, real-time content filters and enhanced moderation tools, which management acknowledged have created a mid-single-digit headwind to engagement but are critical to long-term trust and monetization.
