Rocket Lab Achieves 16h Launch, 38h Commissioning on VICTUS HAZE Mission

It beat the Space Force’s 24-, 72- and 84-hour deadlines as sole prime contractor.

On June 19, Rocket Lab launched the VICTUS HAZE Pioneer spacecraft 16 hours and 42 minutes after receiving launch notice from the US Space Force, commissioning its systems in 38 hours and completing on-orbit rendezvous and proximity operations in under 59 hours.

The company surpassed Space Force deadlines of 24 hours for launch, 72 hours for commissioning and 84 hours for RPO operations, establishing new benchmarks for tactical response and showcasing automated payload integration, rapid deployment and agile mission management.

Serving as the first single prime contractor to deliver an end-to-end TacRS mission, Rocket Lab reinforced its position in national security markets, potentially accelerating future USSF task orders, boosting launch service demand and enhancing long-term revenue streams.
