Shares of Rocket Lab (RKLB.O) were up 5.3% at $67.30 premarket.
The space services firm announced it has been awarded a $266 million multi-launch contract with the U.S. Space Force's Space Systems Command's Rocket Systems Launch Program.
The contract was disclosed last week, with Rocket Lab issuing a more detailed announcement on Monday.
Under the contract, Rocket Lab will execute 12 suborbital launches, with up to six additional launches; first launch is expected to take place no earlier than the end of 2026.
Work will be performed at the Pacific Spaceport Complex in Alaska and is expected to be completed by the end of 2028.
As of last close, RKLB was down 8.39% year to date.
