Rocket Lab won two U.S. Space Force delivery orders worth USD 12 million to support the Space Data Network Backbone program.
Selection adds Rocket Lab to the Space Data Network Consortium, a vendor pool for a secure, high-speed military satellite communications network.
Work includes design, testing, and an in-orbit Photon demonstration of secure optical communications interoperability, targeted for 2027.
