Rogers Communications management commentary attributes Q3 2026 adjusted net income decline to higher finance costs
RCI•Rogers Communications reported third-quarter 2026 revenue growth of 2%, while adjusted net income fell 3% to CAD 701 million, primarily due to higher finance costs. Free cash flow rose 65% to CAD 1.37 billion.
1. Quarterly results
Rogers Communications said third-quarter 2026 revenue grew 2%, attributed to stronger Media revenue. Net income fell 91%, largely reflecting a CAD 5 billion noncash gain on its MLSE investment in the prior-year quarter.
2. Wireless and cash flow
Wireless service revenue declined 1% as competitive pressure reduced average revenue per user, partly offset by customer growth. Free cash flow increased 65% to CAD 1.37 billion, driven by lower capital spending, higher adjusted EBITDA and lower cash taxes.
