RTX•Collins Aerospace plans a multi-million-dollar investment to add 14,000 square feet at its West Des Moines plant, with construction starting later this month and completion targeted for mid-2027.
1. Plant expansion
The expansion will increase capacity for fuel distribution systems, including engine nozzles, as commercial and military aviation demand rises. The site employs about 300 people, and additional hiring is planned by the end of 2026, with recruitment expected to continue into 2027.
