RTX unit Pratt & Whitney began construction on a 6,500-square-meter facility expansion in Rzeszów, Poland. The $100 million (375 million zloty) project is expected to open in 2028, create more than 120 jobs and introduce manufacturing of critical rotating components for commercial and military engines.
The expansion supports a $200 million investment announced in February for a seventh isothermal forging press at Columbus Forge in Georgia. Both projects are expected to be fully operational by 2028, increasing output of critical engine parts by 30%.
