Russia says its diesel exports may exceed volumes announced by Trump
USO•Russia may raise diesel exports to 3.0 million to 3.5 million metric tons per month by year-end, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said. He said Russian supplies had helped lower global diesel prices by around 5% to 6%.
1. Exports may rise
Russia may increase diesel exports to 3.0 million to 3.5 million metric tons per month by the end of the year, returning near pre-crisis levels, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said. Exports had fallen after Ukrainian attacks on Russian refineries and Moscow’s restrictions on overseas sales.
2. Supply and prices
Novak said Russian diesel would partially balance global supply and demand, and that prices had fallen around 5% to 6%. Trump said Russia would immediately supply more than 300,000 metric tons to US and global markets, followed by 500,000 tons in November and another 1 million tons afterward.
