Twelve people, including three children, were killed and 14 wounded in a Russian attack on the southern Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia on Saturday. One strike destroyed part of an apartment block; local governor Mykhailo Semikin said several locations were hit simultaneously in the early hours.
2. Zelenskiy criticizes decision
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said Russia responded to the easing of diesel sanctions by dropping five glide bombs on residential buildings. He said the decision signaled to Moscow that it could continue fighting and bombing cities.

Trump announced the deal to lift sanctions on Russian diesel exports as his administration seeks to curb fuel prices, which have risen during the US conflict with Iran.
