1. Ryder Completes Acquisition of Truck Service Depot
On January 5, 2026, Ryder System, Inc. finalized its acquisition of Truck Service Depot, an Atlanta–based mobile maintenance operator. The deal integrates more than 20 skilled technicians and two service sites—a 10-bay drive-through facility in Atlanta and a service center in Savannah—into Ryder’s Torque by Ryder™ network. Ryder has not disclosed financial terms but anticipates immediate operational synergies and a seamless transition over 2026, with founder Scott Marshall joining to guide integration efforts.
2. Strategic Expansion in a High-Growth Logistics Corridor
The acquisition bolsters Ryder’s presence in Fulton County, Georgia, a state-designated priority for logistics investment characterized by the world’s busiest airport, major interstate corridors and extensive freight rail access. By adding Truck Service Depot’s footprint to its Southeast expansion plan—alongside recent facility openings in McDonough, GA and Lebanon, TN—Ryder enhances its ability to deliver rapid, flexible maintenance solutions to fleets traversing this high-velocity freight corridor.
3. Broader Network Reach and Customer Impact
With this transaction, Torque by Ryder™ mobile maintenance services will span 27 states, supporting a wide array of vehicles including commercial trucks, trailers, refrigerated units, delivery vans, utility vehicles and emergency response fleets. Ryder’s integrated network now manages nearly 250,000 commercial vehicles, services fleets at approximately 760 maintenance locations and operates nearly 300 warehouses totaling over 100 million square feet, reinforcing its position as a leading end-to-end logistics and transportation provider.
