Safe Pro Group executed a $742,000 award to deliver its Threat Analysis Kit to the U.S. Army, featuring its AI-powered NODE edge compute system and Red Cat Black Widow drones. The award includes annual AI model and algorithm upgrades, training and field support services under a subcontract from a defense prime contractor.
2. Technology Features
The NODE edge compute platform leverages SPOTD machine-learning algorithms trained on a dataset of over 2.8 million drone images to detect more than 150 explosive threats, generating 2D and 3D threat-annotated maps without the need for connectivity. Integrated with Black Widow drones, the system enables rapid battlefield situational awareness through terrain mapping and threat detection in real time.
3. Deployment and Support Timeline
Safe Pro plans to complete U.S. Army personnel training by the end of June and provide operational support through the third quarter of 2026, including participation in scheduled military exercises.
