Safe Pro Group will showcase its NODE-X AI edge platform and SPOTD threat detection at the U.S. Army’s JPCE event at Fort Leonard Wood on April 28–29, 2026. NODE-X processes drone imagery for threat detection and 3D mapping using a dataset of over 2.6 million images with 47,000 confirmed detections.

1. Demonstration at U.S. Army JPCE Event

Safe Pro Group will showcase its NODE-X AI edge platform and SPOTD threat detection technology at the Maneuver Support Center of Excellence’s Joint Protection Combined Expo at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, on April 28–29, 2026.

2. NODE-X AI Edge Platform Features

NODE-X is a backpack kit combining real-time AI inference on an edge-processing system with ruggedized GPU laptops running OnSight software. It supports U.S. Army-approved Short-Range Reconnaissance drones and delivers automated route guidance, rapid threat alerts, and 3D mapping for mission planning without relying on external connectivity.

3. SPOTD Threat Detection Dataset

The SPOTD platform is trained on a dataset of over 2.6 million drone images featuring 47,000 confirmed detections of landmines, cluster munitions, unexploded ordnance and ambush drones. It can identify more than 150 threat types and fuses AI output into orthomosaics and digital surface models.

4. Potential Impact on Army Maneuver Operations

Successful demonstrations in live-fire exercises have strengthened Safe Pro’s relationships with Army engineer units. Widespread fielding of NODE-X and SPOTD could enhance situational awareness for reconnaissance teams and drive future defense contracts, supporting the Army’s layered protection and maneuver planning initiatives.
