Quarterly results and underwriting performance
- Safety Insurance Group posted Q2 net income of $34.5 million, or $2.36 per diluted share, up from $28.9 million, or $1.95, a year earlier.
- Combined ratio narrowed 2.4 percentage points to 95.7% as the loss ratio improved to 66.9% from 68.8%.
- Net earned premiums rose 3.4% to $291.7 million, while net written premiums fell 1.9% to $313.5 million.
